The State Theatre in Sydney is a National Heritage listed building constructed in 1927.
Structure were engaged to project manage and oversee construction works to repair and refurbish the iconic awning to the frontage on Market Street in addition to fully refurbishing and upgrading the existing essential services and fire safety systems.
THE DIFFERENCES:
- Extensive DA, Heritage Council and Certifying Authorities Process
- Detailed replication of exposed structural elements and pressed metal soffit linings through 3D modelling software
- A live environment on Market St Sydney with the entry to both the QT Hotel and State Theatre remaining operational, created many restrictions and variation on access and working times
- Developed specialist access and fire engineering solutions to allow design
