Sydney Airport is the busiest airport in the Southern Hemisphere, with undoubtedly some of the strictest security and operational requirements in Australia.
After multiple successful projects extending and upgrading other parts of the Airport, Structure were engaged to upgrade the whole of the arrivals level over 13,000sqm with 8 million passengers walking through our sites.
THE DIFFERENCES:
- Over 11,000sqm Terrazzo Stone Installation requiring structural strengthening works across the entire international arrival level
- Detailed heavy structural works, building gantry systems over live baggage conveyor systems
- 59 stages within 18 separable parts across 12 months managing over 8 million people movements
- 24-hour site works across 3 shifts and rigorous stakeholder management including Customs, Border Force, Australian Federal Police, Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service
